WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Lexus GS 430, 2003 Lexus GS 300, 2002 Lexus GS 430, and 2002 Lexus GS 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Check the GAUGE (10-amp) fuse, MPX-B (15-amp) fuse and DOME (10-amp) fuse. If the fuses are OK, go to the next step. If the fuses are not good, replace them.
  2. Remove the combination meter. Disconnect the combination meter. Measure the voltage between terminals B-13 (MPX-B) and B-22 (GND) of the combination meter connector. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . If the voltage is 10-14 volts, go to COMBINATION METER CIRCUIT . If the voltage is not as specified, go to the next step.
  3. Check for an open in the harness and connector between terminal B-22 (GND) of the combination meter and body ground. If the results are OK, check and repair the harness and connector between the combination meter and battery. If the results are not good, repair or replace the harness or connector.
