Vehicle Speed Sensor

  1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal No. 1 and negative (-) lead to terminal No. 2. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION .
  2. Connect the positive (+) lead from the tester to terminal No. 3 and negative (-) lead to terminal No. 2. Rotate the shaft.
  3. Check that there is a voltage change from approximately 0 volt to 11 volts or more between terminals No. 2 and 3. The voltage change should be 4 times for every revolution of the speed sensor shaft.
