Section 486 (Headlight & Taillight System): Inspection

INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH CONTINUITY

If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH CONTINUITY

HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH CONTINUITY

Switch Position	Tester Connection	Specified Condition
LO beam	8 - 11	Continuity
HI beam	9 - 11	Continuity
Flash	9 - 11	Continuity

If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

W/o Daytime Running Light Relay : INSPECT HEADLIGHT CONTROL RELAY (Marking: H-LP) CONTINUITY

HEADLIGHT CONTROL RELAY CONTINUITY

Tester Connection	Specified Condition
3 - 5	No continuity
3 - 5	Continuity (When battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)

If the continuity is not as specified, replace the relay.
