Fuel Lid Lock Control ASSY: Replacement

  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT 
  2. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 7 clips and remove the rear floor finish plate.

  3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRAY ASSY 
    1. Remove the bolt and tray.
  4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER INNER LH 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips and trim.
  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (See  REPLACEMENT   ) 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 clips and remove the plate.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  6. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSY LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 clips and remove the trim.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  7. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSY (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 
  8. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL LOWER LH (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  9. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK OPEN BEZEL 
    1. Pull up at the rear edge of the bezel to disengage the clip.
    2. Slide clip bezel rearward to disengage the claw.
    3. The clip mentioned in step ( a) will remain in the opener sub-assy. Remove the clip and re-attach it to the bezel.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  10. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and lever.
    2. Disconnect the 2 cables.

  11. REMOVE LUGGAGE OPENER CANCEL CYLINDER ASSY 
    1. Remove the bolt and the cylinder.

  12. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSY 
    1. Remove the cable, as shown in Fig 5 .

    2. Disengage the claw and remove the cable.

    3. Remove the fuel filler opening lock retainer, as shown in Fig 7 .

  13. INSTALL FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSY 
    1. Install the fuel filler opening lock retainer, as shown in Fig 8 .

    2. Install the cable as shown in Fig 9 .

    3. Install the cable as shown in Fig 10 .

  14. INSTALL LUGGAGE OPENER CANCEL CYLINDER ASSY 
    1. Install the cylinder with the bolt.

      Torque:  5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)

  15. INSTALL LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSY 
    1. Install the lever with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:  5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)
