Section 936 (Audio System & Video System): Radio: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove instrument panel center bezel (Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL CENTER BEZEL ).
  3. Remove radio mounting screws.
  4. Pull radio rearward to gain access to the back of radio (Fig 1 ).
    CAUTION: Pulling the antenna cable straight out of the radio without pulling on the locking antenna connector could damage the cable or radio.

  5. Disconnect the antenna cable by pulling the locking antenna connector away from the radio (Fig 2 ).

  6. Disconnect the wire harness connectors from the back of the radio.
