Power Seat System: Description: Description
The power seat system option allows the driver and front seat passenger to electrically adjust their seating positions for optimum control and comfort. Power seat switches are used to position the seats in the desired location and are located on each of the front door trim panels. The driver power front seat can be adjusted in ten different directions including, up, down, front up, front down, rear up, rear down, forward, rearward, recliner forward, recliner rearward and lumbar in and out. The passenger power front seat can be adjusted in eight different directions including, up, down, front up, front down, rear up, rear down, forward, rearward, recliner forward and recliner rearward.
The power seat system is also available with a memory system that automatically positions the drivers power seat for two different drivers. Refer to the following Memory System Description, for more information on the memory system.
The power seat system utilizes the following major components:
- Power Seat Switch Assemblies
- Power Seat Track and Motors
- Power Seat Recliners and Motors
- Memory Heated Seat Adjustable Pedal Module
- Driver and Passenger Door Modules
- Programmable Communications Interface (PCI) data bus circuit
- Circuit breaker
The memory seat system utilizes all the components listed above and the following major components:
- Memory Set Switch Assembly
- Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC)
- Power Seat Track and Potentiometers
