Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT CERTIFICATION ECU 
    1. Disconnect the D39 certification ECU connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      CERTIFICATION ECU VOLTAGE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D39-1 (+B1) - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
      D39-18 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch OFF --> ON (IG) Below 1 V --> 10 to 14 V
      D39-19 (ACC) - Body ground Engine switch OFF --> ON (ACC) Below 1 V --> 10 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      CERTIFICATION ECU RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D39-17 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    1. NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK : PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
