Front Door: Adjustment
- FRONT DOOR ADJUSTMENT
HINT:
Since the centering bolt is used as the door side hinge bolt, the door hinge cannot be adjusted with it. Substitute the standard bolt for the centering bolt.
- Adjust the front door in forward/rearward and vertical directions.
Using SST, adjust the door by loosening the body side hinge bolts.

Torque:
40 N.m (410 kgf.cm, 29 ft.lbf) for upper bolt
26 N.m (270 kgf.cm, 19 ft.lbf) for lower bolt
- Adjust the front door in left/right and vertical directions. Adjust the door by loosening the door side hinge bolts.
Torque: 26 N.m (270 kgf.cm, 19 ft.lbf)
- Adjust the front door lock striker.
- Check that the door is fit and the door lock linkages are adjusted correctly.
- Adjust the striker position by slightly loosening the striker mounting screws and hitting the striker with a hammer.
- Tighten the striker mounting screws again.
Torque: 23 N.m (230 kgf.cm, 17 ft.lbf)
- Adjust the front door in forward/rearward and vertical directions.
- ADJUST FRONT DOOR GLASS
- Remove the front door weatherstrip of slant line.
- Adjust the upper part of the glass inward/outward.
- Remove the bolt from the lower plate.
- Pull the lower plate so that the snap is unlocked.
- Remove the snap and lower plate.
- Adjust the glass by turning the setting nut.
- Reinstall the lower plate, snap and bolt.
Torque: 5.0 N-m (50 kgf-cm, 44 in.lbf)
- Adjust the lower part of the glass inward/outward.
- Loosen the 2 nuts on the top of the window regulator.
- Insert the shim to adjust the glass position (inside/ outside).
Shim thickness:
1.0 mm (0.039 in.)
2.0 mm (0.079 in.)
- Tighten the 2 nuts.
Torque: 5.5 N-m (56 kgf-cm, 49 in.lbf)
- Adjust the glass to the proper position (forward/rearward). Loosen the 3 nuts of the carrier plate for adjustment.
- Adjust the glass to the proper position vertically (With the glass fully closed).
Adjust the door window upper stoppers.
Torque: 13 N-m (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft.lbf)
