Starter Relay: Inspection

REMOVE STARTER RELAY
1. Remove the fusible link block cover.
2. Remove the starter relay (Marking: ST).

INSPECT STARTER RELAY

Inspect the resistance.

Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

Standard:

STARTER RELAY - RESISTANCE TABLE

Tester Connection	Specified Condition
3-5	10k Ω or higher
3-5	Below 1Ω (Apply battery voltage to terminals 1 and 2)

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the relay.

REINSTALL STARTER RELAY
1. Reinstall the starter relay.
2. Reinstall the fusible link block cover.
