On-Vehicle Inspection: Inspection

  1. INSPECT POWER SWITCH 
    1. Remove the power switch.
    2. Measure the resistance of the switch.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      P11-7 (SSW2) - P11-6 (GND) Pushed Below 1 Ω
      P11-8 (SSW1) - P11-6 (GND) Pushed Below 1 Ω
      P11-7 (SSW2) - P11-6 (GND) Released 10 kΩ or higher
      P11-8 (SSW1) - P11-6 (GND) Released 10 kΩ or higher

  2. INSPECT KEY SLOT 
    1. Remove the key slot.
    2. Measure the resistance of the key slot.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K2-3 (KSW2) - K2-2 (COM) Key is in key slot 10 kΩ or higher

  3. INSPECT RELAY (Marking: IG1) 
    1. Remove the IG1 relay from the instrument panel J/B.
    2. Measure the resistance of the relay.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      3 - 5 10 kΩ or higher
      3 - 5 Below 1 Ω (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)

  4. INSPECT RELAY (Marking: ACC) 
    1. Remove the ACC relay.
    2. Measure the resistance of the relay.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      3 - 5 10 kΩ or higher
      3 - 5 Below 1 Ω (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)
