Fuel Tank And Line: Removal

PREVENT GASOLINE FROM SPILLING OUT (See SFI SYSTEM )
REMOVE FUEL TANK CAP
REMOVE FUEL INLET PIPE SHIELD
Remove the 4 bolts and fuel inlet pipe shield.

REMOVE CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the 4 bolts and charcoal canister assembly.
2. Disconnect the pump module connector, vent hose and purge line hose from the charcoal canister.

DISCONNECT SPEED SENSOR WIRE
Remove the nut and disconnect the speed sensor wire from the fuel tank.

DISCONNECT FUEL MAIN TUBE AND RETURN TUBE (See SFI SYSTEM )

REMOVE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY
1. Set up a transmission jack under the fuel tank.
2. Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the fuel pipe bracket from the body.

3. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the 2 fuel tank bands from the fuel tank.
4. Operate the transmission jack and remove the fuel tank.
REMOVE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
