- INSPECT SYSTEM
- Check the system.

- INSPECT FRONT NO.1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the speaker connector.
- Resistance check
- Measure the resistance between the terminals of the speaker.NOTE: The speaker should not be removed for checking.
Standard resistance:
3 to 4 Ω
- Measure the resistance between the terminals of the speaker.
NG: REPLACE FRONT NO.1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT NO.1 SPEAKER - STEREO COMPARTMENT AMPLIFIER)
- Disconnect the stereo component amplifier assembly connector S10.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
TERMINALS RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition F6-1 - FL+ Always Below 1 Ω F6-2 - FL- Always Below 1 Ω F6-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher F6-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
- INSPECT FRONT NO.2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
- Inspect by changing the right one with the left one, and vice versa.
OK: Malfunction disappears.
HINT:
Connect all connectors of the speakers.
OK: REPLACE FRONT NO.2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
NG: GO TO NEXT STEP
- Inspect by changing the right one with the left one, and vice versa.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPARTMENT AMPLIFIER - FRONT NO.2 SPEAKER)
- Disconnect the connectors from the stereo component amplifier assembly S10 and front No.2 speaker assembly T7.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER)
- Disconnect the connectors from the radio and navigation assembly R6 and stereo component amplifier assembly S11.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- Inspect by changing the right one with the left one, and vice versa.
OK: Malfunction disappears.

Connect all connectors of the speakers.
OK: REPLACE FRONT NO.2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
NG: GO TO NEXT STEP
- Inspect by changing the right one with the left one, and vice versa.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT NO.2 SPEAKER - FRONT NO.1 SPEAKER)
- Disconnect the connectors from the front No.2 speaker assembly and front No.1 speaker assembly.
- Measure the resistance according to the values in the table below.

- INSPECT FRONT NO.1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the speaker connector.
- Resistance check
- Measure the resistance between the terminal of the speaker.NOTE: The speaker should not be removed for checking.
Standard resistance:
3.5 to 4.5 Ω
- Measure the resistance between the terminal of the speaker.
NG: REPLACE FRONT NO.1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
