Throttle Body: Removal

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
  2. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION BRACE SUBASSEMBLY UPPER CENTER
    1. Remove the 2 nuts and upper brace.
  3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
    1. Using a socket hexagon wrench 5, remove the 3 nuts.
    2. Remove the V-bank cover.
  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY
    1. Remove the air cleaner inlet assembly (See REMOVAL ).

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
    1. Remove the air cleaner assembly (See REMOVAL ).
  6. REMOVE INTAKE AIR RESONATOR
    1. Remove the ventilation hose No. 2 [A].
    2. Remove the fuel vapor feed hose from the 2 hose clamps [B].
    3. Loosen the air cleaner hose clamp bolt, and then remove the intake air resonator [C].

  7. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY
    1. Disconnect the throttle control motor & throttle position sensor connector [D].
    2. Disconnect the water bypass hose No. 2 [E].
    3. Disconnect the water bypass hose No. 3 [F].

    4. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and throttle body.
    5. Remove the gasket.
