Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the security indicator.
    2. Apply battery voltage and check that the security indicator turns on.

      Standard resistance 

      SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT ASSEMBLY

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) - Terminal 2
      Battery negative (-) - Terminal 1
      Security indicator turns on

    NG: REPLACE SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TVIP ECU - SECURITY INDICATOR) 
    1. Disconnect the TVIP ECU and security indicator connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in TVIP ECU - SECURITY INDICATOR  .

      Standard resistance 

      TVIP ECU - SECURITY INDICATOR

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      IND (T3-25) - IND (S4-2) Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SECURITY INDICATOR - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the security indicator connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in SECURITY INDICATOR - BODY GROUND  .

      Standard resistance 

      SECURITY INDICATOR - BODY GROUND

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      GND (S4-2) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE TVIP ECU
