Inspection Procedure

NOTE: When replacing the ABS and TRACTION actuator assembly, perform zero point CALIBRATION  .
  1. INSPECT DLC3 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in DLC3  .

      Standard voltage 

      DLC3

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D1-13 (TC) - D1-4 (CG) IG switch ON 10 to 14 V

    NG: Go to step   4 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - TC of DLC3) 
    1. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in ECM - TC OF DLC3 (1 OF 2)  .

      Standard resistance 

      ECM - TC OF DLC3 (1 OF 2)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      E6-20 (TC) - D1-13 (TC) Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in ECM - TC OF DLC3 (2 OF 2)  .

      Standard resistance 

      ECM - TC OF DLC3 (2 OF 2)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      D1-13 (TC) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - SKID CONTROL ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector and the ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in ECM - SKID CONTROL ECU (1 OF 2)  .

      Standard resistance 

      ECM - SKID CONTROL ECU (1 OF 2)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      E6-24 (ENG+) - S1-9 (ENG+) Below 1 Ω
      E6-30 (ENG-) - S1-23 (ENG-) Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in ECM - SKID CONTROL ECU (2 OF 2)  .

      Standard resistance 

      ECM - SKID CONTROL ECU (2 OF 2)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      S1-9 (ENG+) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      S1-23 (ENG-) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CG of DLC3 - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in CG OF DLC3 - BODY GROUND  .

      Standard resistance 

      CG OF DLC3 - BODY GROUND

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      D1-4 (CG) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - TC of DLC3) 
    1. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in ECM - TC OF DLC3 (1 OF 2)  .

      Standard resistance 

      ECM - TC OF DLC3 (1 OF 2)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      E6-20 (TC) - D1-13 (TC) Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in ECM - TC OF DLC3 (2 OF 2)  .

      Standard resistance 

      ECM - TC OF DLC3 (2 OF 2)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      D1-13 (TC) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - SKID CONTROL ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector and the ECM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in ECM - SKID CONTROL ECU (1 OF 2)  .

      Standard resistance 

      ECM - SKID CONTROL ECU (1 OF 2)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      E6-24 (ENG+) - S1-9 (ENG+) Below 1 Ω
      E6-30 (ENG-) - S1-23 (ENG-) Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in ECM - SKID CONTROL ECU (2 OF 2)  .

      Standard resistance 

      ECM - SKID CONTROL ECU (2 OF 2)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      S1-9 (ENG+) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      S1-23 (ENG-) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE ABS AND TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
