Ignition Switch: Inspection

  1. INSPECT IGNITION OR STARTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Measure the ignition starter switch resistance.

      Resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Switch Position Tester Connection Specified Condition
      LOCK - 10 kΩ or higher
      ACC 1 - 3 Below 1 Ω
      ON 1 - 2 - 3
      5 - 6      		 Below 1 Ω
      START 1 - 2
      4 - 5 - 6      		 Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the ignition starter switch.
