On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD DEICER RELAY (Marking: DEICER) 
    1. Remove the defogger relay from the engine room No. 2 relay block.
  2. INSPECT WINDSHIELD DEICER RELAY 
    1. Measure the resistance of the relay.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      3 - 5 10 kΩ or higher
      Below 1 Ω
      (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)

      If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.

  3. INSTALL WINDSHIELD DEICER RELAY
