Front Stabilizer Bar: Installation
- INSTALL STABILIZER BAR FRONT
- Install the stabilizer bar front to the vehicle.
- INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR BUSH NO. 1
HINT:
- Install the bushing as to the outer side of each bush stopper on the stabilizer bar.
- Place the cutout of the stabilizer bushings as facing the rear side as shown in the illustration.
- INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BRACKET NO. 1 LH
- Install the front stabilizer bracket No. 1 LH with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 27 N*m (275 kgf*cm, 20 ft.*lbf)
- Install the front stabilizer bracket No. 1 LH with the 2 bolts.
- INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BRACKET NO. 1 RH
HINT:
Install the RH side following the same procedures as with the LH side.
- INSTALL ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE
- Install the engine assembly with transaxle (See INSTALLATION ).
- INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH
- Install the front stabilizer link assembly LH with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 74 N*m (755 kgf*cm, 55 ft.*lbf)
HINT:
Use a hexagon (6 mm) wrench to hold the stud if the ball joint turns together with the nut.
- Install the front stabilizer link assembly LH with the 2 nuts.
- INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Install the RH side following the same procedures as with the LH side.
- INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque: 103 N*m (1,050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)
- BLEED POWER STEERING FLUID
- Bleed the power steering fluid (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION ).
- INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
- Inspect and adjust the front wheel alignment (See FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT ).
