Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR 
    1. Remove the power window motor.

    2. Apply battery voltage to the motor connector according to the table below.
      NOTE: Do not apply battery to any terminals except terminals 4 and 5.

      Standard 

      MEASUREMENT CONDITION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 5 (D)
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (U)
      Motor gear rotates counterclockwise
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (U)
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (D)
      Motor gear rotates clockwise

    NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR - POWER WINDOW SWITCH) 
    1. Disconnect the P7 and P10 connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P10-3 (U) - P7-4 (U) Always Below 1 Ω
      P10-6 (D) - P7-5 (D) Always Below 1 Ω
      P10-3 (U) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P10-6 (D) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
