On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER (See  MIL CIRCUIT  ) 
  3. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR (See  MIL CIRCUIT  ) 
  4. INSPECT INJECTOR 
    1. Disconnect the 8 injector connectors.
    2. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

      Standard resistance: 13.4 to 14.2 Ω at 20°C (68°F) 

      If the resistance is not as specified, replace the injector.

    3. Reconnect the 8 injector connectors.
  5. REINSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  6. REINSTALL V-BANK COVER (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform INITIALIZATION .
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
