Front Bumper: Removal

HINT:

A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (See SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).

  1. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.
    2. Aero type:

      Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips.

    3. Partially remove the fender liner.

      HINT:

      It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner. Partially remove it so that the bumper cover can be removed.

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION LH 
  4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION RH 
  5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips.
    2. Remove the 2 screws and 2 bolts.
    3. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 hooks and remove the bumper cover.

      HINT:

      • Only the left hook is indicated in the illustration but the right hook exists on the opposite side of the vehicle.
      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  6. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER LOWER 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 8 claws and 2 bolts, and remove the cover lower from the bumper cover.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET 
  8. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
  9. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT 
    1. Using a clip remover, disengage the 2 connector clamps.
    2. Remove the 4 nuts and reinforcement.

  10. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET LH 
  11. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET RH 
  12. REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Fog Light) 
  13. REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Fog Light) 
  14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER LH (w/o Fog Light) 
  15. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH (w/o Fog Light) 
  16. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH 
    1. Remove the screw and side support.
  17. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH 
    1. Remove the screw and side support.
  18. REMOVE FRONT LICENCE PLATE MOUNTING BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and bracket.
