How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

- Use this procedure to troubleshoot the multiplex communication system.

- CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE
Standard voltage: 11 V or higher
If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.
NEXT
- CHECK DTC OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Using the intelligent tester, check if the CAN is functioning normally.
Result:
DTC OUTPUT RESULTResult Proceed to CAN DTC is not output A CAN DTC is output B
B : Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A : GO TO NEXT STEP
- Using the intelligent tester, check if the CAN is functioning normally.
- CHECK FOR DTC*
- Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output (see DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
- Delete the DTC.
- Recheck for DTCs. Try to prompt the DTC by simulating the original activity that the DTC suggests.
Result:
