System Outline

(w/ daytime running light)

* This system is designed to automatically activate the turn signal lights during the daytime to keep the car highly visible to other vehicles. This system is controlled by the body ECU.

This system makes use of the turn signal lights as daytime running lights.

For this reason, whenever the turn signal lights are operated, the daytime running lights function will be interrupted momentarily while the turn signal lights operate, but it will be brought back into operation as soon as the turn signal operation is over.

* This system is enabled when the conditions below are met.

1. The ignition SW is ON
2. The turn signal light SW is OFF
3. The hazard light SW is OFF
4. The light control SW is OFF
5. The parking brake SW is OFF (Parking brake not in operation)**

**: This system does not become active if the parking brake SW is ON. However, once the OFF signal from the parking brake SW is received by the body ECU, this system will become active and remain active thereafter, regardless of whether the parking brake SW is ON or OFF.
