How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS 
    1. Interview the customer and confirm the problem (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).
  3. CHECK DTC AND FREEZE FRAME DATA* 
    1. Check and record DTCs and Freeze Frame Data.
    2. Clear the DTCs and Freeze Frame Data (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR  for DTC Check/Clear, and FREEZE FRAME DATA  for Freeze Frame Data).
    3. Reconfirm the DTCs.
      1. Reconfirm the DTCs based on the recorded DTCs and Freeze Frame Data (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR  for DTC Check/Clear, and FREEZE FRAME DATA  for Freeze Frame Data).

        HINT:

        • When DTCs indicating CAN communication system malfunctions are output, repair the CAN communication system before repairing each corresponding sensor (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).
        • If any of DTCs U0123/62, U0124/95, U0126/63, and U0293/59 is output together with a CAN communication DTC, first check the appropriate sensor for a momentary open circuit (See CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS ).
