Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
When replacing the master cylinder solenoid, perform zero point calibration (See CALIBRATION
).
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - 4WD CONTROL ECU - TRANSFER SHIFT ACTUATOR)
- Disconnect the skid control ECU and 4WD control ECU connectors.
- Disconnect the transfer shift actuator connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION CHARTTester Connection Condition Specified Condition S28-27 (EXI) - F10-22 (P1) Always Below 1 Ω S28-27 (EXI) - T3-9 (CDL) Always Below 1 Ω S28-27 (EXI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT 4WD CONTROL ECU
- INSPECT TRANSFER SHIFT ACTUATOR
- Connect the transfer shift actuator connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage
VOLTAGE REFERENCETester Connection Condition Specified Condition S28-27 (EXI) - Body ground Center dlff. locked Below 1.5 V Center dlff. free 10 to 14 V NG: REPLACE TRANSFER SHIFT ACTUATOR
OK: REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID (See DISASSEMBLY )
