Diagnosis System
- DIAGNOSIS
- If the skid control ECU detects a malfunction, the ABS and BRAKE warning lights, and the VSC OFF and SLIP indicator lights will come on to warn the driver.
The table below indicates which lights will come on when there is a malfunction in a particular function.

- The DTCs are simultaneously stored in memory. The DTCs can be read by connecting SST between terminals TC and CG of the DLC3 and observing the blinking of the ABS warning light and VSC OFF indicator light, or by connecting the Techstream.
- This system has a signal check function (test mode). The DTCs can be read by connecting the Techstream or observing the blinking of the ABS warning light and VSC OFF indicator light.
- If the skid control ECU detects a malfunction, the ABS and BRAKE warning lights, and the VSC OFF and SLIP indicator lights will come on to warn the driver.

- Release the parking brake lever.CAUTION: When releasing the parking brake, set chocks to hold the vehicle for safety.
HINT:
When the parking brake is applied or the level of the brake fluid is low, the BRAKE warning light comes on.
- Check that the ABS warning light, VSC OFF indicator light, BRAKE warning light, downhill assist control indicator light, SLIP indicator light and AUTO LSD indicator light come on when the ignition switch is turned to ON, and go off in about 3 seconds.
HINT:
If the lights do not illuminate, confirm whether the bulbs have burned out, and also check the wire harness between the skid control ECU and the combination meter.
If the light remains on, troubleshoot the affected light circuit by proceeding to the procedure indicated below.

- Release the parking brake lever.
