Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
When replacing the master cylinder solenoid, perform zero point calibration (See CALIBRATION
).
- INSPECT DLC3 (DLC3 (TC) - DLC3 (CG))
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage
VOLTAGE REFERENCETester Connection Condition Specified Condition D1-13 (TC) - D1-4 (C6) Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V NG: Go to step 4
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK DTC (FOR CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)
- CHECK ECM (DLC3 (TC) INPUT)
- Using SST, connect terminal TC and CG of the DLC3.
SST 09843-18040
- Check if the malfunction indicator lamp is blinking.
OK:
Malfunction indicator lamp is blinking.
NG: REPLACE ECM
OK: REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID (See DISASSEMBLY )
- Using SST, connect terminal TC and CG of the DLC3.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - DLC3 (TC))
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION CONDITION CHARTTester Connection Condition Specified Condition E8-23 (TC) - D1-13 (TC) Always Below 1 Ω NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DLC3 (CG) - BODY GROUND)
- CHECK ECM (DLC3 (TC) INPUT)
- CHECK DTC (FOR CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)
- Check for CAN communication system DTC.
Result
