Inspection Procedure
- CHECK REAR WIPER OPERATION
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Operate the rear wiper and turn the rear wiper switch OFF.
- Check that the rear wiper stops at the retract position when the rear wiper switch is turned OFF.
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE BACK DOOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT BACK DOOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Using the Techstream, read the DTC when the back power window switch is operated.
- When DTC B1287 is output, proceed to A.
- When no DTC is output, proceed to B.
- When DTC B1241 is output, proceed to C.
B: INSPECT BACK DOOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY
C: Go to step 3
A: INSPECT MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Using the Techstream, read the DTC when the back power window switch is operated.
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
- Check the condition of the retract switch using the data list.

TESTER DISPLAY REFERENCE CHARTTester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note Wiper Retracting SW Rear wiper retract switch signal/ON or OFF ON: Rear wiper retract switch is in ON position
OFF: Rear wiper retract switch Is in OFF position- NG: Go to step 6
OK: Go to next step
- Check the condition of the retract switch using the data list.
- WIRE HARNESS (BACK DOOR ECU - POWER WINDOW MOTOR) (BACK DOOR ECU GROUND)
- Disconnect the B9 ECU connector.
- Disconnect the B11 motor connector.
- Check the continuity between the wire harness side connectors.

TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE CHARTTerminal No. Specified Condition B9-25 - B11-5 Continuity B9-13 - B11-4 Continuity - Check the continuity between the B9 ECU connector and the body ground.

OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT BACK DOOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY
- Remove the motor.
- Apply battery voltage between the connector terminals and check that the motor gear rotates smoothly.NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 4 and 5.

NG: REPLACE BACK DOOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY
OK: CHECK AND REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU BACK
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (BACK DOOR ECU - POWER WINDOW MOTOR) (BACK DOOR ECU - GROUND)
- Disconnect the B9 ECU connector.
- Disconnect the R23 motor connector.
- Check the continuity between the wire harness side connectors.
Standard
TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE CHARTTerminal No. Specified Condition B9-12 - R23-1 Continuity B9-18 - R23-2 Continuity - Check the continuity between the B9 ECU connector and the body ground.
