System Outline
* The power window system is controlled by the body ECU. This system has following features.
- Manual Up and Down Function
This function causes the window to continuously open or close as long as the power window switch is being held halfway up or pushed halfway down. The window will stop as soon as the switch is released.
- Front Door One-Touch Auto Up and Down Function
The front door one-touch auto up and down function enables the windows on the front doors to be fully opened or closed with a single touch of the power window switch.
- Jam Protection Function
A jam protection function automatically stops the power window and moves it downward if a foreign object gets jammed in the window during the one-touch auto-up operation.
- Remote Control Function
The up and down operations on the front passenger door window and the rear door windows can be controlled by operating the power window master switch.
- Key-Off Operation Function
This function allows all of the windows to continue to be operable for up to 45 seconds after the ignition SW has been turned OFF. All regular window functions still apply. (The driver's seat door includes the one-touch auto up and down operation as well)
- Key-Linked Up and Down Function
A key-linked up and down function, which is linked to the driver door key cylinder operation, can open or close the windows on all of the doors.
* When the battery terminal or fuse is disconnected, the glass position on each of the doors will need to be reset to the initial position, door by door, using the power window control switch and by following the procedure outlined below:
- Reconnect the battery terminal or fuse.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Lower the window of each door using the power window switch to open it halfway or more.
- Then move the window up using the power window switch and close it fully.
Do not release the switch for at least one second after the window has closed fully.
- Back Window Control
If the ignition SW is off and the ignition key is not inserted into the ignition key cylinder, the back window can be opened by pressing the back window open SW on the transmitter for approximately 0.8 seconds. At that time, the wireless door lock buzzer will sound once.
