Automatic Cancellation

  1. If any of the following conditions occurs, the set speed will be deleted and the cruise control system will be canceled. Additionally, the "CRUISE" indicator light on the instrument cluster will flash until the ON-OFF SW has been turned off, the master warning light will come on, the warning tone sounds, and the warning code will appear on the display. The cruise control cannot be reactivated until the power SW has been turned off and then on again.
    1. The vehicle speed sensor malfunctions
    2. Parts of the electronic throttle malfunction
    3. The stop light switch circuit is open or shorted
  2. If any of the following conditions occurs, the set speed will be deleted and the cruise control system will be canceled. Additionally, the "CRUISE" indicator light on the instrument cluster will flash until the ON-OFF SW has been turned off, the master warning light will come on, the warning tone sounds, and the warning code will appear on the display. The cruise control cannot be reactivated until the ON-OFF SW has been turned off and then on again.
    1. The laser radar sensor malfunctions
    2. The laser radar sensor beam axis is not aimed properly
    3. The radar cruise control system has a malfunction except other than those listed above
  3. If any of the following conditions then occurs, the set speed is deleted automatically and the cruise control system will be canceled. Additionally, the "CRUISE" indicator light in the instrument cluster will flash until the ON-OFF SW is turned off, the master warning light will comes, the warning tone will sound, and the warning code will appear on the display. The cruise control system cannot be activated again until A)~D) return to normal (it is possible to resume) and the ON-OFF SW is turned off and then on again.
    1. The laser radar sensor is dirtied.
    2. The wipers are operated at high or low speeds (Including high and low speed operations with the wiper lever in the "AUTO" position.).
    3. Strong direct light, such as sunlight, etc. from the front.
    4. It is determined that it is difficult to make a measurement because of bad weather (Such as rainy, foggy, or snowy weather).
  4. If any of the following conditions then occurs, the cruise control will be automatically cancelled. If the vehicle is in vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode, then the preset speed will be stored.
    1. The vehicle speed falls below about 40 km/h (25 mph).
    2. The vehicle speed drops 16 km/h (10 mph) or more below the set speed. (Only for the conventional cruise control mode)
