Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
If the transponder key ECU assembly is replaced, register the key and ECU communication ID (See
REGISTRATION ).
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Immobilizer / Active Test.
- Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.
Immobilizer (Transponder Key ECU Assembly)
CONTROL RANGE REFERENCETester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note Security Indicator Security indicator light ON/OFF - OK: The security indicator turns on and off according to the Techstream operation .
NG: Go to step 2
OK: REPLACE TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY (See TRANSPONDER KEY ECU )
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSPONDER KEY ECU - SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT)
- Disconnect the transponder key ECU assembly connector.
- Disconnect the telltale light assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to Next Step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT - BODY GROUND)
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: REPLACE TELLTALE LIGHT ASSEMBLY (See SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT ASSEMBLY )
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
