Shift And Select Lever Shaft: Disassembly

  1. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT CONTROL BELLCRANK DUST COVER 
    1. Remove the floor shift control bellcrank dust cover from the selecting bellcrank assembly.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 SELECTING BELLCRANK DUST COVER 
    1. Remove the No. 1 selecting bellcrank dust cover from the selecting bellcrank.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 SELECTING BELLCRANK PLATE WASHER 
    1. Remove the nut, spring washer, and selecting bellcrank plate washer from the selecting bellcrank.

  4. REMOVE SELECTING BELLCRANK 
    1. Remove the selecting bellcrank from the selecting bellcrank support.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 SELECTING BELLCRANK DUST COVER 
    1. Remove the No. 2 selecting bellcrank dust cover from the selecting bellcrank support.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 SELECTING BELLCRANK BUSHING 
    1. Remove the 2 No. 2 selecting bellcrank bushings from the selecting bellcrank support.

  7. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT CONTROL SHAFT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the nut, spring washer, and floor shift control shaft assembly from the selecting bellcrank support.

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 SELECT SPRING SEAT 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the E-ring, No. 2 select spring seat and compression spring from the shift and select lever shaft.

  9. REMOVE INNER NO. 2 SHIFT LEVER 
    1. Using a pin punch (ø5 mm) and a hammer, remove the shift inner lever slotted spring pin and inner No. 2 shift lever from the shift and select lever shaft.

      HINT:

      Check the orientation of the inner No. 2 shift lever.

  10. REMOVE INNER NO. 1 SHIFT LEVER 
    1. Using a pin punch (ø5 mm) and a hammer, remove the shift inner lever slotted spring pin, inner No. 1 shift lever, and shift interlock plate from the shift and select lever shaft.

      HINT:

      Check the orientation of the inner No. 1 shift lever.

  11. REMOVE SELECT INNER LEVER 
    1. Using a pin punch (ø5 mm) and a hammer, remove the select inner lever slotted spring pin, select inner lever, No. 1 select return compression spring, and No. 1 select spring seat from the shift and select lever shaft.

      HINT:

      Check the orientation of the select inner lever.

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 SELECT SPRING SEAT SHAFT SNAP RING 
    1. Using 2 screwdrivers and a hammer, remove the No. 1 select spring seat shaft snap ring.
