Height Control Sensor: Inspection

INSPECT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

Connect 3 dry cell batteries (1.5 V) in a series.
Connect the positive (+) lead from the batteries to terminal 3 and negative (-) lead to terminal 1.

Measure the voltage between the terminal 1 and 2 when slowly move the link up and down.

Standard voltage

TESTER CONNECTION - SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
1 - 2	+45° (High)	Approx. 4.5 V
1 - 2	0° (Normal)	Approx. 2.5 V
1 - 2	-45° (Low)	Approx. 0.5 V

If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor sub-assembly.
