Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - BATTERY) 
    1. Disconnect the H12 ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION - SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H12-1 (IG) - H12-24 (E1) Power switch ON (IG) 10 to 14 V
      Power switch OFF Below 1 V

    OK : PROCEED TO NEXT INSPECTION PROCEDURE SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  

    NG : GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the H12 ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION - SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      H12-24 (E1) - Body ground Below 1Ω

    NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GROUND CIRCUIT) 

    OK : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
