Motor Cable: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL MOTOR CABLE 
    NOTE:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    1. Install the motor cable to the hybrid transaxle assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Keep the sealing surface of the motor cable and the connector terminal joint free of foreign matter.

    2. Engage the 2 claws to install a new terminal cap.

      NOTE:

      When installing the terminal cap to the motor cable terminal block, keep the sealing surface free of foreign matter.

    3. Place the motor cable connector shell in position and install it with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    4. Connect the 3 clamps.

  2. INSTALL INVERTER TRAY BRACKET  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 53
  3. INSTALL INVERTER RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 54
  4. INSTALL INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
  5. CONNECT WATER HOSE  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4
  6. CONNECT NO. 2 ENGINE ROOM WIRE  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
  7. REMOVE INVERTER TERMINAL COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 6
  8. CONNECT NO. 2 ENGINE WIRE  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 7
  9. CONNECT HIGH VOLTAGE CABLE OF FRONT TRANSAXLE  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 8
  10. CONNECT FRAME WIRE  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 9
  11. CHECK HIGH VOLTAGE CABLE CONNECTION  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 10
  12. INSTALL INVERTER TERMINAL COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 11
  13. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 12
  14. INSTALL NO. 1 INVERTER BRACKET  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 13
  15. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  16. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  17. INSTALL REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 58
  18. INSTALL REAR DECK FLOOR BOX  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 59
  19. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD (for Separate Type)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 60
  20. ADD COOLANT (for Inverter)  . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 4
  21. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Inverter)  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 1
  22. INSTALL FRONT SPOILER COVER (w/ Front Spoiler) 
  23. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER (w/ Cover) 
  24. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 
  25. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
