Section 55 (Air Conditioning System (Service Information)): Condenser: Removal: Removal

  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM  See step  1
  2. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
  3. REMOVE NO. 4 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for 2AZ-FE)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2
  4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (for 2AZ-FE)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
  5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
  6. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly from the condenser.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  7. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONING TUBE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the air conditioning tube assembly from the condenser.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the air conditioning tube assembly.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  8. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT (for 2ZR-FE)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 9
  9. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT (for 2AZ-FE)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 12
  10. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 7
  11. SEPARATE WATER BY-PASS HOSE (for 2ZR-FE)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 11
  12. SEPARATE WATER BY-PASS HOSE (for 2AZ-FE)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 14
  13. REMOVE HOOD LOCK SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 12
  14. REMOVE HOOD LOCK SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2AZ-FE)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 15
  15. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 13
  16. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2AZ-FE)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 16
  17. REMOVE NO. 2 FAN SHROUD (for 2ZR-FE)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 14
  18. REMOVE NO. 2 FAN SHROUD (for 2AZ-FE)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 17
  19. REMOVE CONDENSER ASSEMBLY WITH RECEIVER 
    1. Remove the condenser assembly with receiver as shown in the illustration.
