- ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGER CABLE ASSEMBLY
- Visual inspection
- Latch release button (PISW) inspection
- Check for shortWARNING:
Wear insulated gloves.
- Plug in the electric vehicle charger cable assembly to a 120 V outlet.
HINT:
Make sure not to connect it to the vehicle side charging inlet.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition t1-5 (PISW) - t1-3 (GND) Latch release button (PISW) is pressed Below 1 V t1-5 (PISW) - t1-3 (GND) Latch release button (PISW) is not pressed Below 1 V TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Electric Vehicle Charger Cable Assembly
(Charging Connector Side) - Disconnect the electric vehicle charger cable assembly from the 120 V outlet.
- Plug in the electric vehicle charger cable assembly to a 120 V outlet.
- Check for open
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
