Throttle Body: Removal: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 4WD and Pre-Runner) 
  3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT  . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 1
  4. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR

    1. Disconnect the pressure sensor connector.
    2. Disengage the wire harness clamp.
    3. Disconnect the vacuum hose.
    4. Disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose.

    5. Disconnect the vacuum hose.

    6. Loosen the 2 hose clamp bolts.

    7. Remove the 3 bolts, then remove the intake air connector.
  5. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the water by-pass hose.
    2. Disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose.
    3. Disconnect the throttle motor connector.
    4. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts, then remove the throttle with motor body.

    5. Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
