DTC P0607: Control Module Performance: Procedure
- CHECK FOR ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
- Read DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR

Result Proceed to P0607 and P0136, P0137 or P0138 are output A P0607 is output B

- INSPECT DTC (P0136, P0137 OR P0138)
- Refer to the P0136, P0137 or P0138 flowchart.
HINT:
- If P0136 is output, troubleshoot for that DTC first. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 . Then proceed to Step 6 "Inspect ECM".
- If P0137 is output, troubleshoot for that DTC first. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 . Then proceed to Step 6 "Inspect ECM".
- If P0138 is output, troubleshoot for that DTC first. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 . Then proceed to Step 6 "Inspect ECM".
- If DTC P0607 and P0136, P0137 or P0138 are output, the output voltage of the heated oxygen sensor may remain close to 0 V or become high (around 1 V or higher).

- CHECK FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
- Allow the engine to idle, and then rev the engine.
- Check for exhaust gas leaks around the heated oxygen sensor.
If any exhaust gas leaks are present, repair them and proceed to Step 4 "Perform Confirmation Driving Pattern". If no exhaust gas leaks are present, proceed to Step 4 "Perform Confirmation Driving Pattern".
HINT:
- If no exhaust gas leaks are present, there may be a malfunction in the heated oxygen sensor circuit.
- If any exhaust gas leaks are present around the heated oxygen sensor, noise appears in the output voltage of the heated oxygen sensor.

- PERFORM CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN
- Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Warm up the engine until the engine coolant temperature is 75°C (167°F) or higher.
- Perform the driving pattern.WARNING:
When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.
- Accelerate the vehicle to 80 km/h (50 MPH) and stop the vehicle.
- Drive the vehicle between 60 and 80 km/h (37 and 50 MPH) for 5 minutes.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
- Read DTCs.RESULT
Result Proceed to P0136, P0137, P0138 and/or P0607 are output A Only P0607 is output B No DTC is output C

- If P0137 is output, troubleshoot for that DTC first. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 . Then proceed to Step 6 "Inspect ECM".
- If P0138 is output, troubleshoot for that DTC first. Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 . Then proceed to Step 6 "Inspect ECM".
- If DTC P0607 and P0136, P0137 or P0138 are output, the output voltage of the heated oxygen sensor may remain close to 0 V or become high (around 1 V or higher).

- INSPECT ECM
- Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.
- Stop the engine and wait for 30 minutes.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Start the engine and allow it to idle for 2 minutes.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
- Read DTCs.RESULT
Result Proceed to DTC is not output A P0607 is output B
