Installation [11/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install a new gasket onto the intake manifold.
    2. Install the throttle body with motor assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Connect the 2 water by-pass hoses and throttle body with motor connector.
  2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the air cleaner hose sub-assembly and lock the hose clamp.

      NOTE:
      • Align the groove of the air cleaner hose with the tab of the throttle with motor body assembly and install the hose.
      • Make sure that the tab of the air cleaner hose clamp stays within the range shown by *b.
    2. Install the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with the 2 clamps.
    3. Connect the wire harness clamp.
    4. Connect the mass air flow meter connector.
    5. Connect the purge VSV.
    6. Connect the ventilation hose.
  3. ADD COOLANT (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    NOTE:

    Be sure to perform this procedure after reassembling the throttle body assembly, removing and reinstalling any throttle body component or replacing the ECM.

    1. Turn the power switch on (IG) without operating the accelerator pedal.
      NOTE:

      If the accelerator pedal is operated, perform the above step again.

    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3 and clear the DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2015 - ] ).
    3. Perform "Inspection After Repair" (Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2015 - ] ).
    4. Set the vehicle to the inspection mode (maintenance mode) (Refer to INSPECTION MODE PROCEDURE [11/2015 - ] ).
    5. Start the engine without operating the accelerator pedal and check that the MIL is not illuminated and that the idle speed is within the specified range when the air conditioning is switched off after the engine is warmed up.

      Standard

      Condition Engine Idle Speed
      A/C switched off 950 to 1050 rpm
      NOTE:
      • Be sure to perform this step with all accessories off.
      • Make sure that park (P) is selected.
    6. Perform a road test and confirm that there are no abnormalities.
