Removal [08/2016 - ]: Procedure
- REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18
- INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
- Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.
- Disengage the wire harness clamp.
- Disengage the No. 1 fuel vapor feed hose from the air cleaner hose assembly.
*1 No. 1 Fuel Vapor Feed Hose *2 No. 2 Ventilation Hose *3 Vacuum Hose Sub-assembly - Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the air cleaner hose assembly.
- Disengage the vacuum hose sub-assembly from the air cleaner hose assembly.
- Disengage the 2 air cleaner cap clamps.
*a Air Cleaner Cap Clamp *b Guide - Open the air cleaner cap sub-assembly and remove the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly from the air cleaner case sub-assembly.
- Disengage the 2 guides to separate the air cleaner cap sub-assembly from the air cleaner case sub-assembly.
- Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
- Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
- Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose and No. 3 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
*1 No. 2 Water By-pass Hose *2 No. 3 Water By-pass Hose - Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
- Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body with motor assembly from the intake air surge tank assembly.NOTE:
If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose and No. 3 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
- REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET
