Exhaust System: Installation: Procedure
- EXHAUST MANIFOLD INSTALLATION NOTE
- Temporarily tighten the exhaust manifold installation nuts (1) and (2) shown in the figure by hand.
- Tighten the exhaust manifold installation nuts (1) and (2) shown in the figure.
Torque: 43 N*m (438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf)
- Temporarily tighten the exhaust manifold installation nuts (3) to (5) shown in the figure by hand.
- Tighten the exhaust manifold installation nuts (3) to (5) shown in the figure.
Exhaust manifold installation nut tightening torque
Torque: 53.5 N*m (546 kgf*cm, 39 ft.*lbf)
- Tighten the exhaust manifold installation nuts (1) and (2) shown in the figure.

- Temporarily tighten the bolt (6) shown in the figure.
N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf) : Specified torque - Tighten the bolt (6) shown in the figure.
Exhaust manifold installation bolt tightening torque
Torque: 44.5 N*m (454 kgf*cm, 33 ft.*lbf)
- Temporarily tighten the exhaust manifold installation nuts (1) and (2) shown in the figure by hand.
- EXHAUST MANIFOLD INSULATOR INSTALLATION NOTE NOTE:
Since the quality of the material of exhaust manifold insulator is aluminum material, it is very easy to change. Therefore, it takes care that there is no modification of exhaust manifold insulator at the time of attachment for dealing with it.
- Temporarily tighten the exhaust manifold insulator.
- Tighten the exhaust manifold insulator in the order shown in the figure.
Exhaust manifold insulator tightening torque
Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf)
N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf) : Specified torque - Check that there is no contact with an exhaust manifold and exhaust manifold insulator.
- INSTALL EXHAUST SYSTEM INSULATOR
- Install the insulator (front).
Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf)
*1 Insulator (Rear) *2 Insulator (Middle No. 1) *3 Insulator (Middle No. 2) *4 Insulator (Front) N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf): Specified torque - - - Install the insulator (middle No. 2).
Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf)
- Install the insulator (middle No. 1).
Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf)
- Install the insulator (rear).
Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf)
- Install the insulator (front).
- INSTALL EXHAUST SYSTEM WARNING:
A hot engine and exhaust system can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool before removing the exhaust system.
- Install the exhaust system insulator.

- Install the exhaust manifold gasket.
Step 1
*1 Air Fuel Ratio Sensor *2 Exhaust Manifold Insulator *3 Exhaust Manifold (WU-TWC) *4 Exhaust Manifold Gasket N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf): Specified torque • Non-reusable part - Install the exhaust manifold (WU-TWC).

for Nut
Torque: 53.5 N*m (546 kgf*cm, 39 ft.*lbf)
- Install the exhaust manifold insulator.

Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf)
- Install the air fuel ratio sensor.

Torque: 41.5 N*m (423 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf)
- Install the TWC.
Torque: 44.5 N*m (454 kgf*cm, 33 ft.*lbf)
Step 2
*1 Main Silencer *2 Insulator *3 Tunnel Member *4 Heated Oxygen Sensor *5 TWC - - *a Fastener - - N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf): Specified torque • Non-reusable part - Install the heated oxygen sensor.

Torque: 41.5 N*m (423 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf)
- Install the tunnel member.
Torque: 22 N*m (224 kgf*cm, 16 ft.*lbf)
- Install the insulator.
Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
- Install the main silencer.
Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)
- Install the plug hole plate.

- Connect the negative battery cable.
Refer to INSTALLATION
- Install the exhaust system insulator.
