Removal [11/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2015 - ]

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [11/2015 - 12/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [12/2018 - ]

  3. REMOVE WATER GUARD PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [11/2015 - 12/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [12/2018 - ]

  4. REMOVE COWL BODY MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [11/2015 - 12/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [12/2018 - ]

  5. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [11/2015 - 12/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [12/2018 - ]

  6. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR 
    WARNING:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

    1. Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

    2. Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps.
    3. Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the exhaust manifold (TWC: Front Catalyst).

      • SST: 09224-00011 
      NOTE:

      If the air fuel ratio sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
