Removal [11/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR MOTOR UNDER COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [11/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2016 - 07/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [07/2020 - ]

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [11/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [08/2016 - 12/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [12/2018 - 07/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [07/2020 - ]

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the wire harness clamp.
    3. Disengage the 2 clamps.

    4. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly from the air cleaner case sub-assembly.
    5. Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly from the air cleaner hose assembly.
  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

    2. Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner hose assembly from the throttle body assembly.
  6. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the throttle body assembly connector.

      *A w/ Stud Bolt
      *B w/o Stud Bolt
      *1 Water By-pass Hose
      *2 No. 2 Water By-pass Hose
    2. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the water by-pass hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle body assembly.
    3. w/ Stud Bolt:

      *A w/ Stud Bolt
      *B w/o Stud Bolt
      1. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and throttle body assembly from the intake manifold.
    4. w/o Stud Bolt:
      1. Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body assembly from the intake manifold.
  7. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET 
    1. Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake manifold.
