On-Vehicle Inspection [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    • Individual difference of the accelerator pedal may not be corrected sufficiently on the ECM side after DTCs were cleared or the battery was removed and installed on the vehicle. Therefore, using the GTS, check that the Accel. Opening Angle indicates [100%], when the accelerator pedal is fully depressed, and then perform the inspection.
    • If the Accel. Opening Angle does not indicate [100%], check the accelerator pedal.

      Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [11/2021 - ] 

    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON. (do not start the engine)
    2. While reading the Accel. Opening Angle and throttle sensor voltage using GTS, depress the accelerator pedal to fully open and fully closed.

      Main-Throttle Sensor Not depressed (full closed) 0.0% Approx. 0.6 to 1.2 V
      Depressed (full opened) 100.0% Approx. 3.8 to 4.4 V
      Sub-Throttle Sensor Not depressed (full closed) 0.0% Approx. 1.4 to 2.0 V
      Depressed (full opened) 100.0% Approx. 4.0 to 4.6 V
