Electric Motor Shipping Preparation
Prepare electric motor for shipment:
- Electric motor must be completely in line with the scope of delivery
- The old part must be clean, free of coarse dirt, grease and oil residues
- When returning the motor, use the cardboard packaging in which the original part was delivered (box, rack).
- Mount the adapter supplied onto the replacement part
- Electric motor must be fully emptied, completely drained of oil and coolant
- Attach/use sealing plugs and protective caps supplied with the new part on the old part
- Electronic components must not be opened
- Connectors must not be torn off
- Part must not bear signs of fire damage
- The housing must not show any signs of damage caused by external influences
Drain Oil and Coolant:
Remove oil drain plug (1) and drain the oil into the collection tank. Reassemble oil drain plug after draining.
Installation of the protective caps:
- Use plugs to close the openings on the gears and the coolant connections so that they are leak-proof
- Fit protective caps to the electrical connections
- Mount any existing transport adapters from the new part onto the old part
- Pack the old part in the original transport container and secure it against transport damage
