  3. The cross bars should be left in the down or vertical position. Move the 2 sliders (3) all the way to the bottom of the cross bars. Install the mounting plate (LAM09-10) onto the mounting lugs on the 2 sliders.

  5. Fasten the 2 locking screws on the back of the mounting plate (LAM09-10).

  6. Position the Launch Mobile Calibration Frame in front of the vehicle approximately 3 meters from the front of the vehicle. This will allow clear space for taking measurements and accurately positioning the frame. Attach the Cross Laser Module (LAM09-02) to Point (8) on the Calibration Frame but do not turn on at this stage.

  7. Determine the center line of the vehicle by suspending the Plumb Line (LAM09-06) against the center of the front vehicle "V" logo and let it naturally drop to the ground. Lightly flick the string with your finger several times to confirm the string is perpendicular to the ground. Mark the ground with a Cross Sticker to indicate the Front Center Point of the vehicle - Point (A).
  8. Place the Five-Line Laser Instrument (LAM09-01) at Point (A). The Logo on the Five-Line Laser Instrument should be facing towards the rear of the vehicle. Ensure the red dot underneath the Five-Line Laser Instrument is aligned with the Cross Sticker at Point (A).

  9. Suspend the Plumb Line (LAM09-06) against the centre of the rear vehicle "V" logo and let it naturally drop to the ground. Lightly flick the string with your finger several times to confirm the string is perpendicular to the ground. Mark the ground with a Cross Sticker to indicate the Rear Center Point of the vehicle - Point (B).
  10. Place the Laser Reflector (LAM09-03) parallel to the vehicle and ensure the reflective stripe is aligned with Point (B).

  11. Place the Auxiliary Mirror (LAM09-04) in front of the vehicle, approximately located at (4). Angle the Auxiliary Mirror appropriately so that the Laser Reflector at the back of the vehicle can be viewed without needing to lie on the ground.
  12. Adjust the support legs of the Five-Line Laster Instrument (LAM09-01) to ensure it is level. Turn on the laser beams of the Five-Line Laser Instrument (LAM09-01).
  13. Observe the position of the laser beam with the auxiliary mirror LAM09-04. Rotate the fine tuning knob (5) of the 5-Line Laser Instrument (LAM09-01) at Point (A) to ensure the longitudinal laser beam aligns with the reflective stripe of the Laser Reflector (LAM09-03) at Point (B). The dotted line (P) now represents the Centre Line of the Vehicle.
  14. Front Mid-Range Radar Calibration requires the Flat Plate Reflector to be placed 1000 mm forward of the Front Mid-Range Radar. This is difficult to measure so we will instead take a measurement from the centre line of the front axle.

  15. Select a point approximately half a meter forward of the front bumper on Line (P) and mark it with a Cross Sticker - Point (E).

  16. Place the L-shaped Bracket (LAM09-05) in line with the centre hub of the Left Front Wheel (6)
  17. Use a Tape Measure to measure forwards from the L-Shape Bracket a distance of 2290 mm. Mark this point with a Cross Sticker as Point (Gl).
  18. Repeat on the Right side and mark this point with a Cross Sticker as Point (G2).
  19. Turn on the Cross Laser Module (LAM09-02) and align the Launch Mobile Calibration Frame so that the lateral line is passing through Points (Gl) and (G2). The longitudinal line should also be passing through Points (A) and (E).

  20. Install the Flat Plate Radar Reflector (LAM05-02V) and observe horizontal bubble level. If the bubble is not centered, adjust the bottom knobs (1, 2, 3) until the bubble is centered

  21. Adjust the knob (7) on the side of the Flat Plate Radar Reflector (LAM05-02V) so that it is vertical. This is setting (2) so the number (2) will be on the front top surface of the knob closest to the reflector plate.

  22. Turn on the Laser Pointer on the Mounting Plate (LAM09-10) and adjust the height of the Launch Mobile Calibration Frame using the Rotary Handle (8) until the laser is targeted directly on the center of the Radar Sensor Cover (X).
  23. If the Front Mid Range Radar Module has been replaced, then it must be checked for correct alignment. This will require using the smaller flat plate reflector (LAM05-02) which has the laser pointer function and central hole. If the module has not been replaced, then proceed directly to Step  26.
  24. Remove the Radar Cover. Refer to RADAR COVER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
  25. Check the position of the Laser Pointer on the Mounting Plate (LAM9-10) again and ensure that it is centred on the middle of the Mid Range Radar Module.

  26. Remove the Digital Height Gauge from the Launch Mobile Calibration Frame and position it with the rear flat surface hard against the flat surface in the center of the Mid Range Radar Module.

  27. Adjust the Mid Range Radar alignment screws until the laser from the Digital Height Gauge is aligned with the centre of the Flat Plate Radar Reflector (LAM05-02). The Mid Range Radar Module can now be considered correctly aligned.
  28. Ensure that the Launch Mobile Calibration Frame is still correctly located correctly with the longitudinal line passing through Points (A) and (E) and the lateral line passing through Points (Gl) and (G2). Ensure that the larger Flat Plate Reflector is installed (LAM05-02V). If this is the case, then the Cross Laser Module (LAM09-02) and the Laser Pointer on the Mounting Plate (LAM09-10) can be turned off.
  29. Refer to DIAGNOSTICS, PROGRAMMING & SETUP USING IDS IN SERVICE . Follow IDS instructions to trigger the ADAS module "MRR Calibration" procedure for the Front Mid-Range Radar.
  30. If error codes are reported on IDS, refer to the table below and adjust the calibration setup as required
  31. IDS will confirm when Front Mid-Range Radar Calibration is complete.
  32. Finally complete a Diagnostic Trouble Code check to ensure the vehicle is operating correctly.
