- Read Warnings and Instructions before disconnecting the battery.
- Refer to DANGER AND WARNINGS
- Refer to General Warnings and Safety Regulations, See HIGH VOLTAGE SAFETY AND SYSTEM INFORMATION .
Removal Procedure:
Only loosen, do not remove, the battery sensor nut before disconnecting the 12V battery negative terminal.
- Remove maintenance cap (1).
- Only loosen nut (1) from the battery sensor, do not remove.
Torque: 11 Nm
- Only loosen nut (1), do not remove it.
Torque: 6 Nm
- Pull off the battery negative cable (1) from the battery negative terminal by carefully moving it to and fro. Do not pry using a tool.
- Move the battery negative cable (1) to one side and secure.
- Unlock and disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the battery sensor.
- Remove the nut (1) with which the battery sensor is attached.
- Pull up and remove the battery sensor (2).
Installation Procedure:
Installation note: Always observe the following installation order.
- Only fasten, do not torque tighten, the battery sensor nut to the 12V battery negative terminal.
- Reconnect electrical connector to battery sensor.
- Reconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
- Tighten nut from battery sensor on battery negative cable.
Torque: 11 Nm
