Operation Steps
- Check tire pressure manually - at least once a month - when the tires are cool. Be sure to use an accurate (digital) tire pressure gauge. Once the tire is inflated back to the proper pressure, the TPMS indicator should turn off, but you might have to drive at least a few minutes before the TPMS system resets, and the warning is no longer illuminated. - System reporting
- If the tire pressure has been changed but the TPMS indicator remains illuminated after inflating the tire, the sensor may require replacement. Refer to TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT AND LEARN PROCEDURE .
- The vehicle must be driven for a few minutes for TPMS to register.
