B1965 - Power Liftgate Sensor Supply Circuit Low: Notes

For a complete wiring diagram, refer to appropriate Wiring Diagram

• >>When Monitored:<< Whenever the power liftgate module is awake.
• >>Set Condition:<< The power liftgate module has detected the sensor supply circuit voltage is under 4.0 volts.

Possible Causes
Q203 POSITION SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
POWER LIFTGATE DRIVE UNIT
POWER LIFTGATE MODULE

Test Step 1 - DTC Present

• With the scan tool, record DTCs and any liftgate inhibitors.
• Erase DTCs.
• Turn the ignition OFF, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition ON.
• Operate the liftgate several times.
• With the scan tool, check for DTCs.

Does the scan tool display B1965 - Power Liftgate Sensor Supply Circuit Low?

Yes

• Go to Test Step 2 Test Step 2 - Power Liftgate Drive Unit 

No

• Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
